Probably the first felt tip pen that any of us ever used was a Paper Mate pen. The lightweight and flute barrel design makes it comfortable to use. The ink flows smoothly and the pen glides effortlessly across the paper. You do not have to press hard to get bold thick lines or write. This decreases hand fatigue when you are writing lots of text (esp. for grading or critiquing). It dries quickly reducing smearing or smudging. User experience vary with some saying that the pen does not bleed and other saying that they do bleed. The one major down side to these pens that users agree on is that they dry out fast if you do not securely cap them after each use. Overall, Amazon reviewers really enjoy using this pen giving it 4.7 stars out of 5 with over 1,700 reviews.
