These highlighters are designed for those delicate, tissue thin pages you typically find in Bibles, dictionaries, encyclopedias, law school textbooks, etc. These gel highlighters are nothing like your typical liquid highlighter or gel pen. Instead, these gel highlighters produce a waxy crayon-like texture. Users can rest assured that these 6 highlighters will not bleed through delicate pages and will not dry out. However, there are a couple of issues that users reported. First, the gel occasionally clumps on the page and second, the clumps smear on the page when users try to brush it away. Overall, Amazon reviewers give this product 4.5 out of 5 stars with over 450 reviews.

Note: Some users prefer the Sharpie line of gel markers as they are less sticky.
